BIA Responds to the Haitian Earthquake
Baltimore International Academy students have been gathering supplies for the survivors of the Haiti earthquake, a Magnitude 7.0 quake that struck near the capital city of Port-au-Prince on Jan. 12. Haiti was the first independent country in Latin America, gaining its independence in 1804 from France. The country won its freedom through the world's first successful slave rebellion.
Students, parents and staff have rallied behind this humanitarian effort at BIA. The halls are full of contributions every morning, and BIA parents are involving their coworkers as well.
If you are interested in being involved in this effort, please call BIA during school hours at 410-426-3650.
